----CODE OF CONDUCT------

The following policy applies to all participants in the Levittown Tomahawks Lacrosse Club including players, coaches, parents, guardians, and spectators and is intended to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for all participants. The LTLC encourages all lacrosse players, coaches, parents, and spectators to "COMPETE WITH CLASS" and "HONOR THE GAME" by conducting themselves in a manner that “Honors the Game” and demonstrates respect to other players, coaches, parents, officials, and spectators. The essential elements in the “US Lacrosse Youth Council Event Participation Contract & Pledge" and “Levittown Tomahawks Code of Conduct” are honesty and integrity. Those who conduct themselves in a manner that reflects these elements will bring credit to the sport of lacrosse, themselves, their team and to the Levittown Tomahawks. Levittown Tomahawks players, coaches, parents, guardians, and spectators are to honor the game of lacrosse by respecting the principles of positive play and competing with class. As a youth lacrosse player in the Levittown Tomahawks, you are expected to:

1. “HONOR THE GAME” of lacrosse. Display good sportsmanship and set a positive example at all times on and off the field.

2. Respect your teammates, coaches, officials, and opponents at all times, even when others do not.

3. Come to your practices and games on time, ready to play and improve your individual skills and team play skills. Full attendance is expected, and playing time will be distributed accordingly.

4. Be modest in victory and gracious in defeat.

5. Levittown Tomahawks is an alcohol free organization at events where our children are present. Anyone found consuming alcohol at these events will be asked to leave immediately. We will not allow someone who is consuming alcohol at a youth event to get in a car following these events with any of our children in that vehicle.

6. "24 hour rule" - There will be a mandatory 24 hour waiting period for communications. Please wait to contact the Coach or the Directors 24 hours after a tournament, game or practice and NOT during a tournament, game or practice.

7. Coaching during games, practices or Tournaments: Please allow our coaches to do the on field coaching at all Tomahawks Lacrosse practices and games. If you feel the need to coach your child, please do so at home, after the game, or in an area where it will not take away from the coach and the instruction he may be offering to the team. AND, please note that at most of these games or tournaments we are NOT ALLOWED any timeouts, making the off-field coaching, practices and training camp that much more critical to the success and comprehension of our teams.
